It’s so sad to hear about Avi leaving. He’s such an important and integral part of PTX, and I know everyone is going to miss him being a part of the band more than anything. I hope everyone is feeling okay right now, the timing is a bit of a shock (at least for me it was, with the newest album, tours etc) but it’s been clear that he’s struggled through this at times. Honestly, I think we’ve all been shocked at the pace PTX has moved, they knock out new music and shows constantly.

But I am so so proud and happy that he has felt strong enough to make the tough decision and do what’s best for himself, his family and his health. Because that’s so important. No doubt both him and the others are going to continue being incredible successes, with whichever direction PTX and Avi’s music goes next.

Both he and the band have my full support, and while I’m so upset by the news I’m excited for what the future holds for them all.

With the recent news about Avi I want everyone to remember that it’s okay to be sad and freak out a little, but what’s not okay is attacking Avi for making this decision with his career (I have not seen anyone attacking him online, but I just want to make this statement now before something does happen).
It’s important that we support him in this new step in his career. This could not have been an easy decision for him and honestly I’m positive it is much harder on him that it is on us.
